Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease with fluctuating disease activity. SLE treatment in Indonesia is still limited to how to suppress clinical symptoms and complications that may occur using drugs from the corticosteroid group, NSAIDs, and immunosuppressants. This research was conducted to determine the pattern of drug prescribing in outpatient SLE patients at RSUD Dr. Moewardi. This study was a retrospective study using prescription data sheets for patients who had been diagnosed with SLE in the Outpatient Installation of RSUD Dr. Moewardi in 2019, obtained 90 pieces of recipes. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of SLE patients in the outpatient installation of Dr. Moewardi in 2019 were mostly women (53.33%), the age group of 51-60 years (39.49%) and most suffered from SLE with a mild degree of activity (94.94%). The most widely used drugs for SLE therapy are corticosteroids (91.11%), with methylprednisolone (90.00%). The most prescription variation is combination therapy with> 3 classes of drugs (68.89%).
