Abstract

Cirrhosis is an uneasy to be controlled diseases and when not being managed properly may cause aggravate complication. Appropriate treatment is needed in the treatment of liver chirrosis. The research is aimed to discover the characteristic and prescriptionpatern toward cirrhosis hepatic patients in internal diseases policlinic at Panti Waluyo Hospital, and then followed by descriptive analysis and the data was collected retrospectivelly. Sample calculation using the saturated sample method.Result of 55 samples indicate patients’ characteristic based on age: elderly patients of 46-55 years old are having highest percentage by 34.6%, based on gender: males are dominating of 65.5%, and based on patients’ diagnose portal: hypertension complication and ascites are most commonly found at Panti Waluyo Hospital Surakarta of 58.3%. The patern of prescription hepatic cirrhosis hepatic patients in Panti Waluyo hospital in the periode July 2018- June 2019 is spironolactone in acites of 33,5%, propranolol in portal hypertension of 34,6%, vitamin k and propranolol in esophageal varices of 24,6%, lactulosa in the treatment of complications of hepatic encephalopathy bay 30,8% and the use curcuma as hepatoprotector.
