Abstract

Pharmaceutical installations play a very important role in the quality of hospital services by providing sufficient drugs and medical equipments. Drugs and medical supplies must be available to support hospital services. In 2019 there were 1235 types of drugs and 2499 medical equipment that have transaction records that can be taken to calculate and classify drugs and medical devices with the ABC analysis method. With descriptive analysis and using ABC analysis tools, it was found that there were 83 types of drugs (7%) of all types of drugs and 21 types of drugs (1%) of all types of drugs included in category A from ABC usage analysis. And there are 75 types of drugs (8%) of all types of drugs and 311 types of medical equipments (13%) of all types of drugs included in category A from ABC investment analysis. With fewer drugs and medical devices getting priority in their supply, it will be easier for pharmaceutical installations to plan their procurement and supervision.
