Abstract

Amphetamines are a psychotropic group that is widely abused in Indonesia. Amphetamines can provide stimulant effects and increase brain dopamine. This is related to the inter-provincial bus kernet which requires a high concentration of work. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the inter-provincial bus kernet at Tirtonadi Terminal Surakarta city was positive for amphetamine in the urine sample examined. This study used a screening test with the principle of Immunoassay with a strip test method that is easy and effective for examination. The samples used were 10 samples from inter-provincial bus kernet at Tirtonadi Terminal Surakarta city which were obtained by quota sampling. The results are presented in descriptive form. The results of screening with strip test on 10 urine samples from Kernet bus at Tirtonadi Terminal showed negative results for amphetamine for these 10 samples. In the amphetamine screening study on 10 samples of urine kernet buses between provinces at Tirtonadi Terminal, Surakarta, they showed negative results for the presence of amphetamines.
