Abstract

Arthritis gout is an inflammantion of the joints caused by hight levels of uric acid in the body Based on data obtained from. Public health Center. Fern new gouty arthritis included in the top 10 diseases. There are many in the area, the number of traditional plants that are still used by the people of Dusun Tempel for alternative medicine. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of plants that exist in the Tempel Hamlet community as medicine and to know the parts of the plants used, how to use them and UV and ICF analysis of the plants used. The methods used in this study include interviews with the community and people who play a role in the traditional treatment of gouty arthritis in the Tempel hamlet community, then calculations are carried out based on UV and ICF values. The results showed that in Tempel Hamlet there were 23 species from 16 plant families that were used as drugs for arthritis gout by the people of Tempel Hamlet, Pakis Baru, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. The method of processing these plants in traditional medicine is boiled and then drunk, ground and then smeared. The part that is mostly used by the people of Dusun Tempel is the use of leaves. Based on the results of the highest Use Value and Informant Concencus Factor values obtained by the Cat‟s whiskers plant (Orthosiphon aristatus) with a Use Value of 0,91. Informant Concencus Factor with the highest value was durian leaf (Durio zibethinus (Linn.) with a value of 0,81.
