Abstract

Vaginal discharge is a condition when mucus or fluid comes out of the vagina. Several types of bacteria found in the vagina are Gram positive coccus groups and groups of Gram negative. Vaginal discharge infected patient age was categorized into productive age (20-40 years old), and non-productive age (41 years and over). Where the aim is to find out the relationship between the types of gram bacteria found in samples of vaginal secretions with cases of vaginal discharge and the age of the patient at the Prodia Karawang Laboratory. The design used was observational analytic with 30 female respondents, the technique used was accidental sampling in which to determine the relationship between types of gram bacteria in vaginal secretions. The results showed that 21 productive age bacteria found 21 gram negative and 17 gram positive bacteria, while 9 from non-productive age found 9 gram negative bacteria and 7 gram positive bacteria. slided) person chi square of 0.842 and when compared with the critical limit of 0.05, it can be interpreted that there is no relationship between the type of gram bacteria found in vaginal discharge samples and the age of the patient in cases of vaginal discharge.
