Abstract

Background :Nutritional status is state of the body due to food consumption and the use of nutrients. The nutritional status of children can affect the motor development of children. Motor development of children there are 2 gross and fine motor. Gross motor development is a development that involves coordinated gross muscles and nerves such as prone movements, sitting, crawling, standing, running, and jumping. Research purposes :This study aims to determine the relationship of nutritional status with gross motor development of children. Research methods :This research is an correlation study entitled the relationship between nutritional status and gross motor skills of children aged 3-5 years. Sampling using purposive sampling that is by getting a sample in accordance with the required criteria. Using cross sectional research method. Research result :The results showed that there is a no showed that there was no significant relationship, this was evidenced by the results of the significance test p value 0.519 > 0.05. However, there are significant results, namely parenting with a significance result of p value 0.012 <0.05 Conclusion :There is no significant relationship between nutritional status and gross motor skills of children.
